The Compound Foundation has denied allegations of misusing its V2 reserve to influence voting power. According to records, 344,780 COMP tokens were increased in the foundation's voting power before a $52 million V4 budget vote. The proposal had enough support to pass without those tokens.

The Compund Foundation stated that these COMP tokens were already part of their holdings and not used for any specific purpose. This move comes amidst growing scrutiny on the financial influence of foundations in DeFi projects.
