Crypto Billionaires Fuel Reform UK with Record-Setting Donations

Reform UK has received another significant donation from a cryptocurrency billionaire, matching a previous £36 million gift made by Ben Delo. Thai-based businessman Christopher Harborne announced he would match Delo's donation, saying it was 'a philanthropic gift to our country' intended to help the party prepare for government.

Harbome said his competitive spirit inspired him to match Delo's donation and encouraged others to join in. The billionaire has already given £9 million to Reform last August and is now Reform's largest donor.

The twin donations come after a summer dominated by scrutiny of Reform's finances, including the launch of a criminal investigation into allegations it breached rules on political donations. Reform UK denies any wrongdoing and says it will co-operate fully with the probe.
