The FIA has launched a crypto crime unit in Pakistan to crack down on cryptocurrency-related crimes. The new unit will be based at the NC3 and is expected to bolster enforcement efforts. The move comes as the PVARA closes its VASP consultation and hires 1,300 staff members.

Meanwhile, the Illinois Digital Chamber has filed a lawsuit against the state's proposed crypto transaction tax, which is set to come into effect on January 1, 2027. The chamber argues that the tax is unconstitutional and would unfairly burden cryptocurrency users.

In other news, Bitcoin (BTC) has been testing key levels as resistance becomes support. After breaking out of a descending channel and up through key resistance, the price is now returning to test the $66K area. This could be a bull trap or a breakout opportunity for traders.
