Crypto Firms Spend Big in 2026 Election Cycle

Share

Crypto firms and other companies are spending heavily to influence the 2026 U.S. elections, with $517 million in corporate spending already reported through the first quarter of this year.

This surpasses the $461 million corporations spent across the full two-year 2024 election cycle.

The largest contributors include Meta Platforms, which has given $65 million to four separate super PACs supporting Democratic and Republican candidates in state races, as well as Coinbase, Ripple, and venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, which supplied nearly all of Fairshake's initial $193 million pool of campaign money.

The crypto industry has already used this political model aggressively during the 2024 elections, with its main super PAC, Fairshake, supporting politicians who favor their policy positions, regardless of party affiliation.
