Share

Crypto fraud losses reached $11 billion in 2025, according to the FBI. The agency received 181,565 cryptocurrency fraud complaints that year.

The DOJ dissolved its National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team in April 2025. The unit's dissolution reflects a shift in enforcement priorities, with prosecutors now focusing on cases involving direct investor harm.
