Crypto Market at Critical Crossroads: CLARITY Act and Iran Tensions Weigh on Prices
Crypto analyst Dan Gambardello says the cryptocurrency market is approaching a critical decision point, where global developments and technical charts will determine whether prices move upward or downward.
The CLARITY Act in the US Senate and tensions with Iran are key factors that could trigger either a new wave of rally or extend the downtrend. According to Gambardello, crypto assets hate uncertainty above all, and the current situation is causing significant stress in the market.
Gambardello highlighted that while chief negotiator Patrick Witt said the law is moving toward a vote, Senate Majority Leader John Thune stated that it seems unlikely the bill will pass before August. Gambardello marked August 7 as a critical threshold, stating that if the bill does not come to a floor vote, it would not be the end of the market but could prolong horizontal and sharp fluctuations in the bottoming process.
In terms of technical charts, Bitcoin is forming an unconfirmed 'inverse head-and-shoulders' pattern. A sustained move toward the 200-day moving average at $72,000 level could signal a strong bullish signal after months of weak performance. However, if this support breaks, the price could drop to the $48,000 - $57,000 band.
For Ethereum and Cardano, moving averages are undergoing severe tests. If the 20-day average crosses above the 50-day average for Ethereum, it would be considered a positive reversal signal. However, if the trend weakens, the risk of the price declining to $1,500 remains on the table.
