Crypto Market Cap Hits $2.7 Trillion, Experts Predict New Bull Market for Top Coins
The crypto bear market may be coming to an end, with the sector's market cap reaching nearly $2.7 trillion as of Sept. 13, up by 30% from its bear market bottom of $2.1 trillion at the end of June.
This marks a significant milestone, as investor.gov defines a bull market as a rise of 20% or more over at least two months, a bar the sector has now cleared, though it has held above that level for only a few weeks.
Despite this, some experts predict that a new bull market could be on the way. Among the coins expected to benefit from this trend are Zcash (CRYPTO: ZEC), Solana (CRYPTO: SOL), and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH).
Zcash is positioned to combine privacy with new types of tokenized assets, while Solana is already making major inroads into the tokenized stocks segment.
Ethereum, meanwhile, is planning to tweak its scaling functions in ways that could benefit holders. The chain hosts $17.2 billion of tokenized real-world assets as of mid-September and supports ERC-8004, an identity standard for AI agents.
