Tokenized Stock DeFi Adoption Soars with $247.8 Million Locked
The total value locked (TVL) in decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols for tokenized stocks has surged to $247.8 million, a 1,961% increase over the past year.
This growth is largely attributed to wider onchain infrastructure, which now enables tokenized equities to play a role beyond passive ownership through lending, smart contract deployment, and stock-paired markets.
The three leading chains for tokenized stock TVL are Robinhood Chain ($98.2 million), Solana ($87.4 million), and BNB Chain ($36.3 million), which collectively hold 89.5% of the total TVL.
Binance Research found that liquidity pools account for 65.4% of onchain TVL in tokenized stocks, while lending markets take up 28.1%. Tokenized stocks are also increasingly being used as quote assets in DEX meme-coin pairs, indicating stronger crypto DeFi adoption and higher market turnover.
