Crypto Market Rebounds as CFTC Proposes New Rules
The cryptocurrency market rebounded on Friday morning after the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed two proposed crypto market rules for review. The CFTC's move came after the CLARITY Act failed to advance in the Senate earlier in the week.
Bitcoin's price climbed back above $80,000, with a gain of over 4% to reach $80,800. This marks its first time above this level in over a week.
The top-trending cryptocurrency on Stocktwits at the time of writing, Bitcoin's retail sentiment remained in 'bearish' territory over the past day.
Other cryptocurrencies also saw gains, with Hyperliquid (HYPE) and Solana (SOL) leading the pack. HYPE's price climbed more than 10% to a record high above $91, while SOL rose by around 8% to just under $110.
