Crypto traders faced significant liquidations on October 4, with $30.41 million wiped out in just one hour. The wave of liquidations, primarily affecting short positions, occurred between 5:26 p.m. and 6:26 p.m. ET (21:26 UTC to 22:26 UTC) across Binance, Bybit, and OKX. Out of the total, 99% were short positions, totaling $30 million, while long positions accounted for just $410,000.
Binance saw the highest liquidations at $15.62 million, followed by OKX with $11.67 million and Bybit at $3.12 million. The total number of liquidations reached 2,591. Bitcoin (BTC) was the most affected asset, with $14.35 million in liquidations, followed by Ether (ETH) at $10.51 million and ZEC at $1.51 million.
