Crypto Market Surges as Interest Rate Hikes Come to End
The cryptocurrency market saw a broad rise on September 18, according to data from SoSoValue. The conclusion of U.S. interest rate hikes and falling oil prices contributed to this trend, as did the SEC's release of an 'innovation exemption.' This spurred on-chain trading of tokenized NMS stocks, easing panic sentiment.
The market showed a generally upward trend, with 24-hour gains ranging from 2% to 7%. The DeFi sector performed particularly well, increasing by 6.80%. Genius (GENIUS) led the way in this sector, rising 20.66%, while Uniswap (UNI) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) increased by 14.81% and 10.01%, respectively.
The DePIN sector also saw significant growth, with a 5.55% increase over 24 hours. Geodnet (GEOD) was the standout performer in this group, rising 44.90%. The RWA sector rose 4.95%, with Ondo Finance (ONDO) up 9.53%. Other sectors showed more modest gains.
Investors should be aware that investments in digital assets can be high-risk, and it is essential to carefully evaluate the risks of a product based on one's own financial circumstances.
