Crypto Markets Surge Amid Regulatory Innovation
The crypto market is ending the week on a high note, with assets across the board jumping in value. Bitcoin's price has reclaimed the $80,000 level, increasing by over 5% and breaking above its recent consolidation range of $78,000-$75,000.
This comes as federal agencies continue to innovate through regulation after the Clarity Act hit a roadblock in the Senate. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has filed its crypto asset rulemaking with the White House for review, while the Securities and Exchange Commission has released its long-awaited innovation exemption to allow onchain trading of tokenized stocks.
Solana and Hyperliquid led the way among top 10 cryptocurrencies, jumping around 10% in value. Dan Morehead, Pantera Capital founder, noted that his company is 'much more bullish' on Solana than Ethereum but believes both are valid options for investment in the long term.
