Crypto Millionaires Grow in Numbers Despite Market Volatility
The number of cryptocurrency millionaires and billionaires continues to grow despite the current market downturn. According to a report by Henley & Partners, there are now 135,694 crypto millionaires worldwide, with 92,272 of them holding Bitcoin.
The total value of these digital assets is $2.6 trillion, with over $1.6 trillion being in Bitcoin alone. This represents a significant increase from previous years, and the number of holders with significant wealth continues to rise.
Despite the current market fluctuations, which have seen Bitcoin trade 38% below its all-time high, the report notes that this drawdown is smaller than previous major crypto winters, where the price fell by over 75%. The growth in crypto wealth is also changing how affluent investors think about geography, with more emphasis being placed on tax residency, wealth structuring, and jurisdiction selection.
Singapore has topped the ranking of 36 jurisdictions for the fourth year in a row, followed closely by the UAE, Hong Kong, and the US. The report also notes that stablecoins play an important role in moving capital between financial centers without traditional correspondent banking systems.
