Crypto PAC Fairshake Supports 32 House Candidates Ahead of Midterms
Fairshake, a crypto-focused political action committee (PAC), has announced its support for 32 House candidates ahead of the November 3 midterm elections. The group is backing 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats, all of whom supported the CLARITY Act when it passed the House in July 2025. Six candidates, three from each party, will each receive $1 million in support, including French Hill and Bryan Steil, who are key figures in crypto-related committees.
Fairshake has disclosed at least $6 million in spending so far, with six candidates receiving $1 million each. The group had about $108 million in cash at the end of August, part of a broader network with roughly $120 million available. Its largest effort is a nearly $30 million campaign against Democrat Sherrod Brown in Ohio, who has been skeptical of parts of the crypto industry.
Critics, including Democrat Sen. Ruben Gallego, have raised concerns about the influence of corporate money in shaping crypto policy. Gallego noted that future market structure bills will likely need bipartisan support. The November election will decide which party controls Congress when the new session begins in January 2027, potentially impacting the future of crypto legislation.
