Crypto Prices Stall as Bitcoin Tests Resistance at $85,520
Bitcoin's price tested resistance at $85,520 after a stronger daily close on October 1. The cryptocurrency closed at $84,842, gaining 1.51% from the previous session's $83,578.
The daily high of $85,183 remained below the $85,210, $85,520 resistance zone, preserving the existing range. Bitcoin's 20-day simple moving average rose to approximately $81,684, supporting the broader recovery from mid-September.
A daily close above $85,520 would strengthen the case for revisiting the September 21-23 highs around $87,250, $87,330. On the downside, October 1's $83,182 low is the nearest session reference, followed by the $82,580, $82,950 support area.
Ethereum consolidated near $2,743 resistance, while XRP held above its Bollinger midpoint. Quant and Lighter fell, with Quant closing below its 61.8% retracement level and Lighter consolidating above recent lows.
