Crypto Super PAC Drops $11.4 Million on Ohio Senate Race

Crypto industry super PAC Defend American Jobs has invested $11.4 million in Ohio's U.S. Senate race, backing Republican candidate Jon Husted and opposing Democratic candidate Sherrod Brown.

The group spent this amount on advertisements supporting Husted and criticizing Brown, according to Federal Election Commission filings.

Defend American Jobs is affiliated with Fairshake, a political action committee backed by the crypto industry. Fairshake previously stated it planned to commit an initial $30 million to the Ohio Senate race.

Brown has been critical of major crypto-related legislation and previously served as chair of the Senate Banking Committee.
