Crypto Takes Off: Real Jet Introduces Cryptocurrency Payments for Private Aviation
Private aviation company Real Jet has partnered with Crypto.com Pay to allow customers to book charter flights directly from their digital wallets. The move marks a significant step in the adoption of cryptocurrencies as a real-world payment method, according to Real Jet's founder and chairman Kenny Dichter.
Dichter believes that crypto is entering its next phase of adoption, moving beyond speculation and becoming a 'usable everyday currency.' He pointed out that over 700 million people globally hold digital assets, with around $3 trillion sitting on the sidelines as an investable asset rather than being used for commerce.
Real Jet's decision to integrate crypto payments was driven by customer demand, with dozens of high-net-worth crypto holders requesting to pay directly with digital assets. Dichter credited Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek and his team for simplifying crypto payments, making transactions 'seamless' and 'frictionless.'
Looking ahead, Dichter predicts that crypto payments could eventually account for $200 million to $300 million of a potential $1 billion business as digital assets become more widely accepted for everyday purchases.
