A crypto trader known as SmokΞy made headlines when his $2,368 investment in MarsCoin (MARSCOIN) briefly reached a staggering $680,500 value.
The trader's bet on MarsCoin was made on its launch day in late July, when the token had a market capitalization of just $390,000. SmokΞy bought more than 6 million MARSCOIN tokens in one transaction.
As the token's market cap surged to around $114 million, the trader's position reached its peak value of approximately $680,500, representing a roughly 287x return on his original investment.
However, it's essential to note that this incredible gain remains unrealized, as SmokΞy has not sold any of the MARSCOIN tokens. The risks associated with holding onto such volatile assets are already evident, with MarsCoin experiencing significant price fluctuations in recent days.
