Crypto Traders Face $400 Million In Forced Liquidations
Crypto derivatives traders suffered significant losses over the past 24 hours, with $400 million in forced liquidations. This figure includes both long and short positions, but long positions accounted for nearly three-quarters of the total losses.
The largest asset-level losses were seen in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH), with $136 million and $82.8 million respectively. Long liquidations totaled $297 million, while short positions accounted for $103 million.
The imbalance between long and short positions suggests that traders betting on higher prices absorbed most of the forced closures during this period.
