Cryptocurrency Market Enters Consolidation Phase Amid Weakening Momentum
The cryptocurrency market has shown mixed price action in recent weeks, but a slowdown in bullish momentum is becoming evident. Most major digital assets have started to slow down their gains, while some have even moved into negative territory.
According to data from StoneX and Tradingview, Solana was the only major asset able to maintain a significant advance, posting gains of more than 14% this week. In contrast, Cardano declined nearly 7%, making it one of the weakest-performing cryptocurrencies.
The average performance over the past 10 weeks shows that the market continues to display a relatively stable medium-term profile. However, this strength remains concentrated in a handful of assets, such as Solana and Ethereum, which have gained more than 40% compared with levels seen ten weeks ago. In contrast, Dogecoin has advanced only 2.76%.
The longer-term picture remains less favorable, with major cryptocurrencies remaining well below their opening prices for the year. Cardano is still down -38.96%, while Bitcoin continues to show greater relative stability despite being down -11.16% for the year.
