A man in Bristol has described his terror after a gang broke into his home to steal his cryptocurrency. In a statement read at Bristol Crown Court, the victim said the ordeal left him constantly frightened, paranoid, and petrified. He explained that the attack had fundamentally changed his personality, turning him from a bubbly, outgoing person into someone tense and apprehensive.

The three perpetrators, Paul, Samagassi, and Madzou, were charged with aggravated burglary after an investigation following their arrests. All three pleaded guilty to the offense during an earlier hearing in August. On Thursday, Paul, from Barking in London, was sentenced to six years in prison. Samagassi, who has no fixed address, received a five-year sentence, while Madzou, also from Barking, was jailed for five-and-a-half years.
