Cryptos Slide as Investors Take a Risk-Off Approach
Crypto markets took a hit on Wednesday morning as investors adopted a cautious stance. The major digital assets experienced selling pressure, with Bitcoin falling 0.64% to $85,641.72 and Ethereum declining 0.96% to $2,726.75.
The losses were not limited to the large-cap tokens, as smaller-cap assets bore the brunt of the weakness. Avalanche was the session's worst performer, plummeting 1.40% to $11.13. Cardano and Solana followed closely behind, falling 1.24% to $0.25 and 1.22% to $117.07, respectively.
However, XRP managed to defy the trend, edging up a marginal 0.03% to $1.57. The token's modest gain stood out against an otherwise uniformly negative landscape.
