D3 Launches Frontier Program for Early Domain Access

D3 has launched its Frontier program, allowing users to earn priority points on internet domain names through Solana and Hyperliquid vaults. The mechanism operates through two initial vaults, one supported by Loopscale on Solana and another backed by Hyperion DeFi and Upshift on Hyperliquid.

The goal is to provide early access to domains before they become available to the general public. Priority points do not equate to domain ownership, but rather to being among the first to register for a desired domain name.

D3 has committed to adding vaults on other chains in the coming months and is partnering with various registries, including those offering extensions such as .agent.wallet.sol, and .robot. The program aims to give users a head start on securing their preferred domain names before they become widely available.

D3 has a significant financial track record, having raised $25 million in a Series A round led by Paradigm in January 2025 to develop Doma Protocol, which represents conventional internet domains on a blockchain. Fred Hsu, CEO and co-founder of D3, described Frontier as the entry point for crypto users into what he called a 'domain supercycle'.
