Deribit Expands USDC-Settled Perpetual Futures Offerings
Deribit, a cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2016, has expanded its USDC-settled perpetual futures offerings. The platform now lists over 90 contracts across various categories, including cryptocurrencies, listed equities, ETFs, commodities, indexes, and pre-IPO private companies. This expansion is made possible by Deribit's recent upgrade to its matching engine and includes detailed contract specifications related to size, funding, and risk.
The new USDC-settled perpetual futures contracts include Anthropic (ANTH_USDC), POL (POL_USDC), and OPG (OPG_USDC). These pre-IPO products reference composite pricing based on internal and third-party valuations. The expansion is supported by Deribit FZE's regulatory approval from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA).
The contracts are settled, margined, and quoted in USDC, operating under Deribit FZE's regulatory approval. These perpetual contracts do not convey ownership in the underlying assets.
