Dogecoin ETF Inflows Spark Hopes for DOGE's Next Big Move
Dogecoin (DOGE) has seen its first institutional investment through spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), pulling in $285,000 in net inflows on their debut. This marks a significant milestone for the meme cryptocurrency, which has been struggling to gain traction among traditional investors.
The three Dogecoin ETFs currently hold only 0.09% of DOGE's total supply. In contrast, HBAR's ETF already holds 1.72% of its token's supply. This disparity highlights the challenges faced by DOGE in attracting institutional investment.
Technical analysis suggests that DOGE is trading above a support band at $0.075059 and $0.078291 near the bottom of a descending channel. However, the EMA levels sit just above price, with the EMA 20 at $0.081594 and the EMA 50 at $0.083378 acting as resistance.
Experts suggest that DOGE needs to reclaim the EMA cluster near $0.0816 to $0.0834 before it can make a significant move upwards. The highest resistance level marked on the chart is $0.100736, but a 10x move from the current price would require DOGE to clear this level and run roughly 8 times further.
While some experts believe that ETF inflows could be the catalyst for DOGE's next major upswing, others caution against getting too optimistic. The crypto market can move sharply within hours, and past patterns do not guarantee future outcomes.
