Dogecoin ETFs See $146K Inflow as Price Retreats to $0.0898
Dogecoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen a net inflow of $146,020 on August 24, marking a shift from the stagnant flows that characterized much of the month. This comes just days after a larger $654,420 inflow on August 20, suggesting institutional and retail investors are returning to the asset.
The recent activity is notable as it follows six consecutive trading days without new money entering Dogecoin ETFs in mid-August, followed by a significant $568,840 outflow on August 13. Between August 20 and August 24, the funds marked two positive net inflow days within a three-day trading window.
Analysts caution that while the inflows are encouraging, a longer and uninterrupted series of positive days would be necessary to confirm a lasting momentum shift. Dogecoin's price action has been volatile alongside the ETF flows, with the cryptocurrency hovering just above its 200-day moving average at $0.089.
The recent price pullback is attributed in part to Cleancore, an AI technology firm that decided to liquidate its Dogecoin holdings to reallocate funds toward artificial intelligence development. The company sold $33.4 million worth of DOGE, exiting its treasury strategy entirely.
