Dogecoin Infrastructure Expands at Breakneck Speed with Avalanche of New Projects
Recent developments in the Dogecoin ecosystem suggest that the network is expanding rapidly. DogeOS, a platform that allows developers to build Ethereum-compatible applications using DOGE, has launched a public test network. This allows users to test and deploy applications in a live environment, similar to Ethereum.
The Dogecoin Foundation director, Timothy Stebbing, highlighted this milestone in a recent post, noting an 'absolute avalanche' of new projects building on the Doge/EVM chain. This includes Metallicus' DogecoinVM, which bridges Dogecoin to the Metal network, making DOGE 300x faster with instant finality.
The recent developments imply that there are more options than ever to build amazing solutions on Dogecoin, a positive for the network. Dogecoin is also on track for its first 2026 daily golden cross, which could be a significant price development. The last time Dogecoin saw a golden cross was in August 2025, and it rose to a high of $0.30 one month later.
