Dogecoin's community was recently treated to an April Fools' prank by its team, who posted a fake announcement claiming the project would undergo significant changes. According to the post, Dogecoin would rebrand as DogeCoin Financial Solutions LLC, retire its iconic Shiba Inu logo, and publish a 67-page whitepaper titled Toward a Synergistic Decentralized Liquidity Framework.

The team also announced that it would drop the words 'wow,' 'much,' and 'very' from all communications, citing legal reasons. Additionally, Dogecoin Financial Solutions allegedly signed an LOI to acquire DogeOS and MyDoge, with plans to release MyDoge V3 as an 'AI-powered astronomy app.'

However, the community quickly identified the post as a joke, with most members recognizing the April Fools' theme. Beneath the humor, on-chain data showed a genuine 28% surge in active addresses over the past week.
