Dogecoin's $1 Price Target Faces Reality Check Amid PayFi's Promising Payments Project
The $1 price target for Dogecoin has resurfaced, but achieving it would require a significant increase in market value. Dogecoin's current price is around $0.096, which would need to rise by more than ten times to reach the $1 mark. This could be challenging, especially considering the token's low unit price, which may make the target feel closer than it actually is.
Remittix's PayFi, a payments project, is giving 1,000 invited holders access to an app that allows users to turn supported cryptocurrencies into fiat, delivered through compatible banks. The project aims to simplify international value transfers as local currency, and its wallet and Markets platform could accelerate user adoption.
PayFi's test phase is taking place before the wider market valuation of the token, which is set to debut on November 24 after a $0.46 final presale stage. The project's success could provide a different path to a major repricing, as its first customers arrive. The global remittance market already processes hundreds of billions of dollars annually, and a tiny foothold could mean close to a billion dollars in yearly transfers through an app, with millions in potential fees.
