The Dogecoin price prediction debate has taken an interesting turn in October 2026. Despite trading below $0.10, the Dogecoin network has introduced a significant development that could impact its price trajectory.

The Dogecoin coin currently trades at $0.09459, down 0.9% over 24 hours and ranking #12 by market cap at $14.767B. The news comes from BSCN, which reported that DogeOS has opened its public testnet, adding an application layer on top of the Dogecoin ecosystem.

The testnet is designed for smart contracts and Ethereum-compatible apps, allowing developers to test lending, perpetual trading, prediction markets, stablecoins, and games. The release uses DOGE to pay transaction fees, giving the coin a practical job within the new apps.

A key level to watch in the coming days is $0.11850, which represents resistance for Dogecoin. A monthly close above this level with rising volume could indicate a bullish trend for the coin, potentially leading to higher price targets of $0.16714 and $0.23310.
