DogeOS Launches Public Testnet Chikyū with Ethereum-Style Apps
DogeOS, a project from the team behind MyDoge wallet, has launched its public testnet called Chikyū on September 30. This move aims to bring Ethereum-style apps to Dogecoin through a zero-knowledge rollup.
The network currently relies on a trusted execution environment, validators, and a permissioned sequencer, as Dogecoin does not yet verify ZK proofs natively. A proposed Dogecoin Core upgrade would enable direct proof verification but has not been implemented.
Several teams are already building on the platform, including Barkswap, Superposition Finance, Derps, Split Markets, and USDoge. The team behind DogeOS raised $6.9 million in May 2025 in a Polychain Capital-led round.
