DogeOS Unleashes Testnet Chikyū for Ethereum-Ready Applications
DogeOS has launched a public testnet called Chikyū to expand the Dogecoin ecosystem beyond payments and transfers.
The system is designed as a zero-knowledge rollup network compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, allowing decentralized exchanges, lending protocols, stablecoin applications, prediction markets, and blockchain games to be developed on it.
The testnet will use $DOGE as its native transaction fee asset, and developers working with Ethereum tools can connect their existing software to the DogeOS testnet to test their Solidity-based smart contracts.
The launch of the test network doesn't directly change Dogecoin's base network, but it does pave the way for more complex applications on top of the existing infrastructure.
