Dormant Bitcoin Wallet Spends 14 Years Sleeping Before Moving $51M Worth of Coins

A dormant Bitcoin wallet that had been inactive for over 14 years has suddenly become active, moving 600 BTC worth approximately $51.15 million as Bitcoin's price surged toward $87,000.

According to a tweet by Whale Alert, the dormant address containing 600 BTC was activated after remaining untouched for 14.2 years.

The coins were valued at $51,150,182 at the time of the transaction.

Notably, the wallet movement comes as Bitcoin posted a strong recovery, with its price rising to as high as $87,341 late Monday for the first time since January.
