Dormant Wallets Stir Up $1.5M Bitcoin Storm

Two Bitcoin wallets that had been dormant for over 13 years simultaneously transferred 200 BTC on September 19. Four early P2PKH wallets created in February or March 2013 transferred 25 BTC each, totaling 100 BTC.

These transactions were confirmed at block height 967722, with prices fluctuating during the time of wallet creation. On March 1, 2013, Bitcoin's price was approximately $32, rising to $91.95 by March 31.

A fifth wallet, created on November 2, 2011, also transferred 100 BTC at block height 967732. These funds were originally acquired at a price of $3.24 each and were then sent to a P2WPKH wallet belonging to BitGo.
