Draper Warns Apple and Meta: Hold Bitcoin or Face Inflation Risks
Billionaire Tim Draper has urged major companies including Apple and Meta to hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets as protection against financial-system risks. He cited continued government spending, which exposes corporate cash to inflation and higher interest rates, as a significant concern.
Draper argued that businesses should keep at least four weeks' worth of Bitcoin in their corporate treasuries. He singled out Apple and Meta as companies that could benefit from holding the cryptocurrency.
The venture capitalist pointed to SpaceX as an example of a forward-thinking company that holds Bitcoin. Draper expects another two halving cycles may be needed before Bitcoin becomes widely used for everyday transactions, estimating broader retail adoption could arrive in roughly five years.
