Drift Foundation has announced progress in recovering assets stolen from its users in an April 1 security event. The total amount of user assets stolen was approximately $29,540,000.

Mandiant identified the attackers as the North Korean threat group UNC6862.

The stolen funds were bridged to Ethereum and dispersed among four wallets, with three remaining untouched since then, holding a combined 107,165 ETH. Another wallet transferred 23,094 ETH into Tornado Cash on July 23.

Drift Foundation has frozen approximately $920,000 in stolen funds, which were previously laundered through Tornado Cash and are still subject to legal procedures for release and return.
