Drift Launches DFX Recovery Token for April Incident Victims
Drift has launched the DFX recovery token to compensate users affected by its April incident. The token's fixed supply is 299.5 million DFX, which can be transferred or traded on secondary markets like Raydium. Each eligible holder gets one token for every verified USDT lost, with a redemption value of roughly 0.0104 USDT at launch.
The Recovery Pool holds about 3.1 million USDT and will receive additional funding from sources like Velocity's Net Protocol Revenue and Tether. The contribution rate increases alongside daily revenue, ranging from 60% of the first 30,000 USDT to 90% of revenue above 100,000 USDT.
Users affected by the April incident have their allocations fixed according to a loss snapshot, with eligible users connecting their wallet that controlled their Drift account on April 1, 2026. The claim window will remain open until January 1, 2028, with any DFX left unclaimed after the deadline being permanently burned.
