Duelbits Hit by $7M Hack, Taken Offline
Duelbits, an online crypto-fueled casino platform, has been hit by a hack that drained approximately $7 million worth of funds from its hot wallets. The platform is currently offline as it investigates the incident.
The attack on Duelbits occurred early Thursday morning, with founder Joe confirming the heist and approximate damage in an X post. He stated that the firm is 'still investigating exactly what happened and how' and that until they have clarity, Duelbits will remain offline.
According to security firms Scamsniffer and Peckshield, suspicious outflows were tracked overnight, with approximately $4.9 million worth of funds leaving Duelbits hot wallets across the Ethereum, Bitcoin, BNB Chain, and Tron blockchain networks. The funds included ether, bitcoin, USDT stablecoin, BNB, and smaller amounts of TRX token and shiba inu (SHIB) memecoin.
The funds were quickly swapped for ether and DAI stablecoin, with Scamsniffer suspecting a private key compromise behind the attack. Duelbits' CEO Jasper wrote on X that 'We got f, . We'll be back soon.'
