ElizaOS, a token associated with the open-source AI framework of the same name, has plummeted to an all-time low after its founder, Shaw Walters, declared it 'dead'. The price drop occurred over a 24-hour period, with ElizaOS falling 19% to trade at $0.000285 on CoinGecko.

According to Walters, the foundation supporting ElizaOS is winding down, and he no longer owns or supports the token. He cited a lawsuit as one of the reasons for this decision, stating that the project lacked sufficient funds to continue fighting it. The suit was filed in April by a group of tokenholders represented by Burwick Law.

The token's decline represents a drastic reversal from its peak market capitalization of $2.5 billion in January 2025. ElizaOS is an open-source framework for building and managing AI agents, which rebranded from ai16z after Andreessen Horowitz raised concerns about confusion with its own brand.
