Eos Energy Enterprises (EOSE) shares surged 12% following an announcement of a strategic clean energy partnership between MN8 Energy, Google, and Eos to develop a combined solar and battery storage facility in West Virginia.

The joint venture will integrate 86 MW of utility-scale solar panels with dual storage technologies, featuring Eos' proprietary Z3 zinc-based long-duration energy storage technology, complemented by conventional lithium-ion battery systems. The project aims to supply consistent, renewable, dispatchable electricity to the PJM interconnection grid, specifically tailored to support Google's regional data center operations.

The total capital expenditure for the venture is estimated at $350 million, with approximately 200 construction positions anticipated. Throughout its first two decades of operation, the facility is forecasted to contribute around $4 million in property tax revenues benefiting Kanawha County and local educational institutions.
