ETF-Fueled Demand for XRP Falls Flat as Price Remains Near Record Low
XRP has finally achieved something many crypto investors have been waiting for: regulated U.S. spot ETFs attracting institutional capital.
The funds have accumulated about $1.71 billion in historical net inflows, according to SoSoValue data cited in the latest ETF update, with roughly $1.39 billion in net assets as of Sept. 17, equivalent to about 1.7% of XRP's market value represented by the tracker.
However, despite these impressive numbers, XRP trades near $1.33, which is roughly 64% below its peak of $3.65 against CoinCodex's recorded all-time high.
The apparent contradiction between ETF inflows and the price of XRP can be attributed to the fact that ETF investors compete against existing holders selling, exchange liquidity, derivatives positioning, and broader crypto-market flows.
