ETF Inflow Stagnates Bitcoin Price Despite $2.65 Billion Investment
The US spot ETFs have been pulling in significant amounts of money into Bitcoin. In September, they took in $2.65 billion, which is the second-highest monthly figure since October 2025. This inflow of funds is a positive sign for Bitcoin, but it's not yet translating into higher prices.
Despite the influx of capital, Bitcoin has been stuck between $83,500 and $86,600 for twelve days, showing little movement. The price has barely budged since September 21st, when it closed at $86,597. This stagnant price action is puzzling, given the significant inflows into the market.
The funds now hold Bitcoin worth around $109 billion. Institutional investors seem to be leaning towards Bitcoin, with the contrast between Bitcoin and Ethereum notable. While the Ether ETFs saw outflows of $55.4 million on October 1st, the Bitcoin ETFs continue to attract money.
