Ethereum Aims for $3,000 as Next Stop After Impressive Q3 Surge
Ethereum's third quarter performance was impressive, rising approximately 57% to outpace other major cryptocurrencies. The surge surpassed Solana at 48%, XRP at 37%, and Bitcoin at 36%. Ethereum's market value is now around $122 million in circulation, but it still sits 46% below its record high of $4,946 set on August 24, 2025.
The current trading price of $2,706 makes it necessary for Ethereum to rise about 11% to reach $3,000. This is close to the coin's January price of $2,970 and would make this year positive for Ethereum. However, reaching $3,000 will require surpassing $2,807, the high from September 21, which is about 4% above the current price.
The upcoming Glamsterdam test on October 6 may influence market sentiment and potentially set Ethereum on course for $3,000 before year-end. However, if it drops below $2,564 first, reaching $3,000 could be delayed until 2027.
