Ethereum and Tron Dominate $349 Billion Tokenized Asset Market
The tokenized asset market has now reached a total value of $349.2 billion, spread across 50 different blockchains. However, this figure masks a significant concentration issue, as Ethereum and Tron together dominate 80.2% of the market. Ethereum and Tron's dominance leaves other blockchains scrambling for the remaining market share.
While Ethereum and Tron lead, other chains like Solana hold 5.2% ($18.2 billion), BNB Chain accounts for 2.6%, and HyperEVM, Base, and Arbitrum One follow with 2%, 1.5%, and 1.3% respectively. This distribution highlights the uneven nature of the tokenized asset market.
Despite the market concentration, adoption metrics show promising growth. The number of holders has surged to 315.5 million, up 3.3% over 30 days and 11.2% over 90 days. Additionally, DeFi activity is thriving, with $28.7 billion locked in DeFi protocols, representing 8.2% of total tokenized assets. DeFi's total value locked has grown 7.8% over 30 days and 26.7% over 90 days.
In contrast, 24-hour DEX volume has declined, standing at $3.5 billion, down 58.2% over 30 days and 28.4% over 90 days. However, smaller networks are making notable strides. Arc added $508.3 million over 30 days, followed by Tempo at $501 million and HyperEVM at $500.5 million, indicating where fresh capital is flowing.
