Ethereum Blasts Through $2,500 Resistance, Eyes $3,000 and Beyond
Ethereum's price has been on the rise, and a recent surge in the cryptocurrency market has seen it climb above $2,700. According to Milk Road analyst John Gillen, Ethereum has broken through a critical resistance level at $2,500, which could push the price towards the $3,000 region. Gillen notes that Ethereum's price is known to exhibit sharp fluctuations, making it harder to predict than Bitcoin.
The analyst believes that after reaching $3,000, Ethereum will face its next challenge at the $5,000 level, a level it has struggled to surpass in the past. If Ethereum breaks above $5,000 and remains there, the price could potentially reach the $6,000 to $10,000 range. In the long term, Gillen predicts that Ethereum could rise to levels between $10,000 and $12,000 in the next 24 months, but emphasizes that this is not a definitive price prediction.
Gillen's assessment highlights the potential for Ethereum's price to continue its upward trend, but also notes the importance of institutional and on-chain activity in determining the extent of this growth.
