XRP Shatters Quarterly Loss Record as Q3 Closes on Bullish Note
XRP has achieved a historic milestone in Q3, marking the first time all three months of the quarter (July, August, and September) have closed positive. This is a significant distinction from previous years when at least one month within a quarter would still close red.
According to CryptoRank data, July gained 2%, August added 30%, and September rose 7.95%, producing a combined quarterly gain above 43%. The surge in XRP's price has been fueled by institutional demand through U.S. spot XRP ETFs as well as a short squeeze in September.
As a result, exchange balances have dropped from roughly 12.9 billion to 11 billion XRP since April. The current market cap of XRP is around $95 billion, with the price now trading near $1.50.
However, history sends mixed signals regarding XRP's performance in Q4. October has been XRP's weakest month on average, with a mean return sitting near -4.71%. Nevertheless, analysts expect some turbulence before any larger move higher, including volatility and sideways trading ranges.
