This marks the highest level since September 22, 2026, when it traded at $2,748.68, and the largest percentage increase since October 4, 2026, when it gained 0.72%. The cryptocurrency's trading volume over the past 24 hours was 424,740 ETH, with a turnover of $1.17 billion.
In other news, Tom Lee's Bitmine has slowed its Ether buying for a second consecutive week, adding 15,112 ETH. Meanwhile, a last-minute software update was made to one of Ethereum's main validator clients just before the Glamsterdam test, which aims to increase the capacity of each block to 200 million gas.
On-chain analyst Aunt Ai reported that GMGN transferred 11,999.5 ETH, worth approximately $23 million, to the Coinbase Batch Staking address for staking. This follows a previous transfer of ETH worth $16.38 million to a trading platform a week earlier, which raised suspicions of potential sales.
