Ethereum Climbs as Crypto Regulations Advance
Ethereum (ETH) experienced a slight uptick today, gaining 0.28% to reach $2,713. This marks the highest price level since September 22, 2026, when it traded at $2,748.68, and the largest percentage increase since October 4, 2026, when it rose by 0.72%. Meanwhile, on-chain analyst Aunt Ai reported that GMGN transferred 11,999.5 ETH, worth approximately $2.3 million, to the Coinbase Batch Staking address for staking. Notably, GMGN had previously deposited ETH worth $16.38 million to a trading platform just a week ago, raising suspicions of potential sales.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is advancing its own set of crypto market-structure rules following the failure of Congress to pass the CLARITY Act. Chairman Michael Selig emphasized that this is just the beginning of regulatory efforts in the crypto space. Additionally, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the trading of 3x leveraged Bitcoin and Ethereum funds, further integrating these cryptocurrencies into traditional financial markets.
