Ethereum ETFs See $690 Million Influx Then $118 Million Outflow in Three Days
Ethereum ETFs saw significant inflows of $690 million in one week but then experienced outflows for three consecutive trading days. The funds were net sellers to the tune of around $118 million from September 29 to October 1, according to SoSoValue data.
The iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) led the influx with $326 million, while the Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) added another $174 million. However, this trend quickly reversed as investors withdrew approximately $3 million on September 29, followed by a steep withdrawal of $60 million on September 30, and another $55 million on October 1.
The outflows resemble an earlier episode in September when Ethereum ETFs saw a $24 million outflow immediately after a robust $824 million week. The selling trend continued even after the quarter closed, as Ethereum funds saw another $55 million in outflows on October 1, while spot Bitcoin (BTC) funds attracted about $103 million that same day.
The disparity suggests investors are moving money specifically out of Ethereum funds, rather than withdrawing from cryptocurrency funds overall. It also marks a shift from early September when Ethereum funds posted stronger net inflows than Bitcoin funds in 2026.
