Ethereum Fees Crash: Record Lows Spark Bullish Sentiment
Ethereum transaction fees have plummeted to record lows, removing a significant barrier for users. The implementation of the Dencun upgrade in March 2024, which activated EIP-4844 (Proto-Danksharding), has modified the cost structure of second-layer networks.
As a result, transaction fees on major Ethereum layer two networks have dropped by as much as 95%. This development could lead to increased adoption and usage of the Ethereum network.
Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee predicts that Ethereum will significantly outperform Bitcoin in the coming years. He stated that the ETH/BTC ratio has recently shown significant growth, suggesting a strong bullish trend for Ethereum.
